Anniversary Dinner...

Today is my 7 year anniversary. DH and I have been together for 11 years though. We actually got married on our "anniversary" so today is our 7-11 anniversary. I thought it appropriate to visit our local 7-11 to celebrate.

My son could not have been more excited! He literally told everyone who would listen today that we were going to 7-11 for dinner. People looked at him like he was nuts. Good thing he's only 5 right?

So, we went to 7-11 and had our big bites, nachos and slurpees and our total for the entire "meal" was just over $12. Not too bad if I do say so.

The best part of the whole evening though was when we were all finished eating (in the car) my DH got out to throw out the trash and my son says to me "Mama, I love anniversary food!" He made my whole day.

Side note: we really are going to an all adult dinner, next week when my mom is visiting....but I really did want to do something fun and quirky for our actual anniversary and my son got to participate. A good time was had by all and that's what matters most.

This is kindof a funny story to share...Hubby and I were talking last night and we realized that this year our anniversary (March 28) is our 7-11 anniversary.

See we got married on our exact 4 year anniversary of dating and this year we've been married 7 years, but together 11. My reaction to this realization was "Oh my goodness, we have to go get a slurpee!"

For those not in this part of the country, 7-11 is a convenience store chain that exclusively carries Slurpee's frozen drinks. That's right folks, I want my anniversary dinner at 7-11! I told you before, I'm not your average girl. I'm pretty easy to please.

So it's been decided, on our anniversary, we are going to the 7-11 about 2 miles from our house and enjoying a slurpee and a hot dog. It will be super fun and we will enjoy every minute of it!
